I retired from teaching in 2012, having started in 1973 with a few little bumps along the way.  Each morning when I wake up, I start my day with a smile and “Good Morning Lord!  I love you!  Thank you for another day!”  I am an African-American lady who happily raised 2 sons and is now in the next stage of life…retired and smiling.  I love traveling and reading and sitting on my patio drinking coffee.  I recently sold my house moved to a new part of the country to be near my first grandchild and am beginning anew.  I also love giving my opinion and do miss the interaction with colleagues.  So, thus….the blog!  Come along, read and enjoy!
