Do you have a favorite “go to” look when all else fails? A look that is comfortable, easy and painless to put together? For me, it is my wide leg, pull up pants. This look never ever fails to meet my expectations when I need to dress it up a bit while still remaining casual.
I love my wide leg pants not only for the comfort they afford but also because they are quite inexpensive and can be found in a vast array of colors, patterns, textures and style.
Every single store you visit or online shopping experience you have offers a great selection. If staying on the cheaper end of shopping is your thing, like it is mine, you will not be disappointed.
It is easy to pair wide leg pants with any type of top. Of course, I love my tunics. But pairing up with blouses, sweaters, blazers, camisoles, etc, all work just as well.
Wearing flats or heels is another option that works well. Here I have paired it up with my comfortable sandals. But if I wanted to make it more formal I would switch up to heels.
The wide leg pants have actually been around as a fashion look since the 1920’s. It was first inspired by Asian fashions of the silk lounging pants. For a full history check out this site. https://vintagedancer.com/1920s/vintage-wide-leg-pants-history/
I encourage you to add this look to your wardrobe because you won’t be disappointed. And it is easy peasy to put together!
